My Three Valentines this morning. Love you all!

These are the flowers my husband sent me for Valentine’s Day. They arrived last night at 10:30, and the delivery woke up everyone in the house! Who delivers flowers at 10:30 at night?!?! They aren’t the flowers he ordered (he ordered the traditional dozen roses). And they didn’t bring the chocolate he ordered. But they spelled my name right, so that’s good. And they are pretty! Guess that guaranteed V-Day delivery is tough!
Celia got this special delivery from her favorite, Elmo. And we love balloons!

With Valentine’s Day approaching, people always ask me how busy I am. And the real answer is not very! Jewelry consumers tend to spend more money on Christmas gifts, and leave Valentine’s Day for the less expensive chocolate and champagne givers. In an effort to change that, I thought I’d talk about my absolute favorite diamond gift of all time – the classic diamond stud.

They look great on everybody (and I mean everybody!). They can be dressed up or dressed down. They can even be worn all the time. They are the one jewelry item that every woman must/should own, and the one jewelry item that men cannot mess up on as a gift. And they come in all different price ranges. Smaller sizes are just as nice, and have just as much sparkle. Try .50ct total weight if you just want a little sparkle, and with a price point right around $500, they make a perfect Valentine’s Day gift.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the 1ct each ear, 2ct total weight, size (this size will run $6000-$8000 for a decent quality). It’s a good size to be very noticeable, but not hanging off your earlobe, unless you have big earlobes, in which case you can go larger. And YES, I can tell if they’re real or not. Easily! Always go with a four prong white gold setting (unless allergic, then go with platinum), set in a basket setting as low as possible. And forget the screw back. They come off just as easily, and end up spearing your neck when on the phone. An added bonus – they retain their value year after year.
