The term Pave diamonds comes from the French verb ‘paver’, or ‘to pave’. The idea is to set the stones so close together that no metal shows through - but the way a master actually accomplishes this is to pull tiny prongs out of the heated metal to hold the stones in place. Sometimes I hate people. Thought I ‘hid’ my purse in the car while taking Cece and Lucy for a walk. Guess not. Purse, wallet, cash, credit cards, driver’s license, and a few pieces of jewelry all gone. Luckily I didn’t have any really valuable pieces of jewelry with me - but this little mistake is still going to cost me a few thousand. The worse part was how upset Cece was! Apparently she doesn’t like thieves.
And they left the stroller. Go figure:)
The great Lollipop debate
Really, I can’t make this stuff up! Last night, my husband, in his infinite wisdom, gave our daughter a huge LOLLIPOP (turned out to be a tootsie pop) as we were putting her to sleep! In her CRIB!!!! To say I was upset is an understatement. At first I tried to take it back, but really, taking candy from a baby is just cruel, so I let it go. Until said tot was asleep and I had the hubby to myself!
His excuse: Well, I bought it a long time ago and was saving it for her. What’s the big deal? She never gets those so I thought she’d like it.
My Reply: What the **** are you thinking? Her teeth are going to rot. It’s going to get stuck in her hair! It’s going to get all over her sheets and her! What the ****?!?!?!
Hubby: You need to relax. Think more positive.
